DTF PRO DTF TRANSFER PRINTING

Our DTF (direct to film) transfers are produced with premium inks and come fully cured, ready for pressing.

High-quality DTF printing equipment is typically expensive and sizable. DTF Pro offers next working day delivery for all DTF print orders placed before 11:59am, enabling anyone with a basic heat press to provide professional-grade DTF transfers.

Artwork Requirements

Please upload your artwork at the size you have ordered. While PDFs are preferred for DTF Printing, TIF and PNG files with transparent backgrounds are also acceptable.

Since JPEGs do not support transparency, we'll attempt to remove the sheet color, but this may lead to unpredictable results. Therefore, it's best to use PDFs when possible.

For optimal colour accuracy, use CMYK artwork.

If you have any questions about the artwork requirements, please contact us at info@dtfpro.co.uk

What are DTF Transfers?

Direct to film (DTF) transfer prints represent the latest innovation in t-shirt printing technology. However, calling it t-shirt or even garment printing doesn't fully capture the vast range of applications for DTF transfers.

Much like high-end direct to garment (DTG) printing, an industrial inkjet printer is used for DTF printing. The DTF printer prints the colour layer onto a heat transfer film first, followed by the white layer where necessary. The film then goes through an adhesive applicator and an oven to cure the prints.

The result is a ready-to-apply transfer that requires no weeding, no pre-treatment, and leaves no residue.

DTF prints eliminate weak whites and uneven colors, delivering bold, vibrant results akin to screen printing, but with the color range and detail of an inkjet art print.

DTF transfer prints are more cost-effective, faster, and yield significantly superior results compared to DTG printing.

With DTF printing, there is little reason to use DTG printers, and even fewer reasons to rely on screen or vinyl printing.

Our DTF transfer sheets come in a range of sizes and we offer significant discounts for larger orders and regular customers.

How to Press DTF Transfers

Our DTF transfer prints come ready to press, with no additional adhesive required.

Simply trim the DTF sheet with scissors, then place it under a heat press at approx. 140°C for 10-15 seconds with moderate pressure.

Our DTF Transfers are hot peel so just wait a few seconds before peeling. Finally, repress for a couple of seconds with a cover sheet to ensure the best quality feel.

Any excess film won't leave residue, so trimming the DTF transfer print is purely for convenience.
